TIPS FOR TAKING

ONLINE MUSIC LESSONS

Due to the measures regarding the corona virus, we currently do not teach physical music lessons. We hope to get back to work at our locations as soon as possible, but until then we offer online music lessons. Here are a number of tips for taking online music lessons so that your child can get the most out of the lessons.

The right place

It is important to choose a good place where your child can take the online music lesson. It is best to have a room where he or she can concentrate well, a quiet place without much distraction. Make sure your child has a notebook and a pen to take notes during the class. A good preparation is half the work, so make sure your child is ready for the online music lesson.

Internet connection

Because most people are at home at the moment, much use is made of the internet connection. If everyone in the house is using the network at the same time, this can cause a delay. Therefore, try to make agreements with other housemates about the use of the internet so that your child has a good connection during the online music lesson. In addition, we recommend the use of an internet cable instead of a wireless connection.

Vision and sound

It is important that the teacher can see and hear your child well. Therefore, provide a well-lit room and use a tripod to position the camera correctly. Of course, the quality of sound is the most important thing, so preferably use headphones or earplugs. You can also adjust the sound settings in most computer programs or apps. It is wise to do a sound check before the lesson so that your child can make optimal use of the lesson.
